small batch / from scratch
There is no easy way to say this, but after more than a decade in various locations and iterations, Yum is closing. All orders that have been placed will be filled as promised. I will be offering classes throughout January. I will also be open select hours in January to say goodbye, redeem gift certificates, and get one more taste of Yum.
I am asking one last time for your support. As I wind down and literally dismantle the bakery, I still have bills and rent to pay. Your continued support throughout January will help ease the stress of this transition. Beginning in February, I will be holding a series of sales that will include supplies, decor, equipment, and my personal vintage collection (the cool stuff that has not previously been for sale, but you've asked about). Dates and times for those will be posted in mid-late January.
In the meantime, if you or someone you know is interested in a turnkey small batch bakery/coffee shop, send them my way. It really is a great space in a great neighborhood, especially once the streetcar expansion is complete in 2025. I simply had too many continuous setbacks (covid, 3 years of road closures, etc.) and health issues to keep going. It was all of your beautiful faces that kept me going this long. It's what I'll miss most.
Wishing you fabulous holidays and a delicious new year!
